The Role

We are seeking an experienced Credit Portfolio Analyst (from Deputy Manager to Senior Manager level) to join our Credit and Investment Management Department. This is a critical replacement role focusing on non-performing asset monitoring, MIS reporting, impairment forecasting, and regulatory liaison.

You will work closely with Finance & Accounting, external auditors, and regulatory bodies to ensure robust credit portfolio management and internal control compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze non-performing assets (NPA); prepare MIS reports for management, head office, and regulatory authorities

• Coordinate internal monthly impairment forecasts for non-performing loans

• Work with the Finance & Accounting Department to prepare monthly provisioning and adjustments

• Lead policy and procedure updates for accounting treatments of non-performing loans, in collaboration with Finance & Accounting and other relevant departments

• Manage communications and reporting on asset quality, internal controls, and compliance returns with internal teams, external auditors, and regulators

• Conduct regular follow-ups and reviews of internal controls and compliance returns; update internal handling procedures as needed

• Perform annual reviews of external debt collection agents

• Handle other ad-hoc duties as assigned

About You

You are a detail-oriented finance or banking professional with strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of credit functions, loan recovery, and regulatory requirements. You work well under pressure and can communicate confidently across departments and external stakeholders.

Job Requirements

Education:

• University graduate in Business, Finance, Statistics, or Banking

• CPA, ACCA, or equivalent qualification is an advantage

Experience:

• Minimum 5 years of banking experience

• Over 3 years of experience in Finance, Debt Recovery, Commercial Lending, or Credit function (preferred)

• Working experience as a Business Data Analyst or Auditor in an accounting firm will also be considered

Technical Skills:

• Knowledge of statistics

• Proficiency in Excel, SAS, and other data analytical tools/software

• Understanding of corporate and consumer banking products and services

• Familiarity with banking operating management processes and banking regulations

Soft Skills:

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Team player who can collaborate effectively with other departments

• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders (internal teams, external auditors, regulators)

Languages:

• Excellent command of written and spoken Chinese (Mandarin) and English
